About the role

The unit is Allegheny General's Float Pool, comprised of highly trained expert RNs covering all areas of AGH based on their specialty and clinical expertise. They provide care for a designated patient population, ensuring safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience required in ICU.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association

Qualifications

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
