RN Patient Care Manager (PCM) L&D

About the role

The Patient Care Manager (PCM) works under the direction of the Unit Director to plan and manage a specific clinical unit, ensuring compliance with hospital and nursing standards. The PCM assists the Unit Director in delivering patient care through the nursing process, managing staff, controlling unit finances, and acting as a bridge between administration and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Unit Director in delivering patient care through the nursing process
• Maintains staff and ensures the efficient operation of the unit
• Serves as a liaison between administration and staff
• Up to 60% of scheduled time may be spent in direct patient care

Requirements

• Current unrestricted AL or Multi State RN license
• 2 years' experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and RN certification preferred
