RN - Orthopedic ASC, Pre/Post/PACU (casual position)
About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards, and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area (Pre, Post, PACU).
Schedule
Casual position with a minimum requirement of 2 shifts per month. Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holidays. Varying day shift hours.
Requirements
- BSN / Baccalaureate degree in nursing
- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven proficiency in the operation of personal computers, telephones, fax machines, photocopiers, printers, and electronic medical records
- Familiarity and compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies (e.g., FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws)
- Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles to ensure appropriate service and patient safety
