RN Ortho Trauma PCU

About the role

Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). The #1 city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

This is a 35-bed monitored nursing unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging from adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service include the following but are not limited to: Post ICU trauma patients (serious traumatic injury to 2 or more body systems), Complex Plastic reconstructive surgeries, Complex ENT patients, Traumatic Complex Fractures and musculoskeletal wounds, Elective Joint Replacements – Rapid Recovery Program, Sports Injuries, Spinal Deformities, Complicated Pelvic, Hip, and compression Fractures, Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities, Amputations and Prosthesis, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Medical/Surgical patients including those requiring Telemetry.

Full Time - Days - 36 hours per week

Qualifications

Graduate of RN School of Nursing ADN required, Active RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS) Require or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer

Grad of an Accredited Program, Specialized field of study should be nursing, RN license, Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
