RN Ortho Trauma PCU
About the role
Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). The unit is a 35-bed monitored nursing unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging from adults to Geriatrics.
The conditions that are within the scope of service include: Post ICU trauma patients, Complex Plastic reconstructive surgeries, Complex ENT patients, Traumatic Complex Fractures and musculoskeletal wounds, Elective Joint Replacements, Sports Injuries, Spinal Deformities, Complicated Pelvic, Hip, and compression Fractures, Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities, Amputations and Prosthesis, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, and Medical/Surgical patients including those requiring Telemetry.
Requirements
- Graduate of RN School of Nursing ADN required
- Active RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer
Qualifications
Grad of an Accredited Program, Specialized field of study should be nursing. RN license. Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.

Schedule
Full Time - 36 hours per week - Night shift 7pm-7am, Location: Temple, TX – 5th Floor (5N)
