About the role

Lovington Healthcare is a long-term care facility seeking compassionate Charge Nurses for 12-hour shifts (6PM-6AM or 6AM-6PM). We welcome multi-state licensees and new graduates (training provided). Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during supervisory shift.
• Serve as a resource to all staff regarding the quality of services provided.
• Provide direct resident care when required, including administering medications and treatments according to facility policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Manage nursing personnel on shift to limit overtime and agency personnel use.
• Assess nursing staff performance as it relates to unit standards of care and goals.
• Conduct regular staff meetings on each shift and provide updates to the Director of Nursing (DON).

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational Nursing program and licensed in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
