About the role
The RN or LPN Unit Manager plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing services to all Guests on the assigned unit as well as in the facility as a whole. The Unit Manager assists the Director of Nursing (D.O.N) in the planning, development and overall operation of the assigned unit, ensuring Guests receive quality care 24 hours a day. Assists with staffing to ensure Guest needs and regulatory requirements are met at all times. Responsible to ensure adequate staffing on the assigned unit at all times, including filling in as a floor Nurse and coordinating floor Nurse and C.N.A. breaks.
Responsibilities
- Affirming superior customer service and nursing services to all Guests on the assigned unit and in the facility.
- Aiding the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and operating the assigned unit to ensure quality care is provided 24/7.
- Assisting with staffing to meet Guest needs and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining adequate staffing levels on the assigned unit, including taking on additional duties as a floor Nurse and coordinating breaks for floor Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
