RN or LPN Unit Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing needs and provide supervision for nursing staff.
• Provide direct resident care to ensure quality care on the assigned unit.
• Aid in staff development.
• Supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants.
• Conduct and document a complete data collection of each resident's medical status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each assigned resident.
• Recruit and hire nursing staff.
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements.
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies.
• Work with families and other staff to resolve grievances.
• Complete Preceptor Training.
• Create and implement new ideas and concepts to improve systems and processes.
• Build a successful management team.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a similar setting.
• At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
• Must be compassionate, dedicated, and committed to delivering excellent care.
