About the Role
Mosaic in Grand Island is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team and make a tangible difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a nurse here, you aren't just running from room to room—you are a vital advocate, a teacher, and a cornerstone of a supportive community.
Why Mosaic
- Work-Life Harmony: We offer flexible scheduling that respects your life outside of scrubs.
- Purpose-Driven Work: You’ll see the long-term impact of your care as you help our residents thrive and gain independence.
- A Culture of Belonging: Join a team that celebrates diversity and fosters a supportive, "family-feel" environment.
- Slower, predictable pace: Mosaic supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community and residential settings. The focus is on routine health management, wellness, and advocacy rather than rapid bedside turnover.
- Real human connection: You get to build meaningful, long-term relationships with the people you support, restoring the "why" behind your nursing license.
- Work around your life: Enjoy work-life balance, consistent schedules, and a career where your expertise truly transforms lives.
- Zero mandatory overtime: Unlike hospital shifts where you get forced into double shifts, your commitment starts and ends on your terms.
Your Impactful Role
Your day-to-day is about more than just vitals. You will:
- Coordinate Holistic Care: Review healthcare services and medications for a dedicated group of individuals.
- Be a Clinical Mentor: Provide guidance and training to direct support staff on healthcare needs and safety.
- Advocate: Collaborate with physicians and families to ensure the highest quality of life for those we serve.
- Build Relationships: Truly get to know the people you support, celebrating their milestones and supporting them through challenges.
What We're Looking For
- The Right Credentials: An active RN/LPN license in Nebraska.
- Experience: At least one year of general nursing experience under your belt.
- Safety First: A valid driver’s license and current CPR/First Aid certification.
- A Can-Do Attitude: The ability to travel between locations and work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the people we serve.
- Physical Stamina: You’re comfortable being on the move—walking, standing, and the ability to safely transfer up to 50 pounds when needed.
