About the Role
The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, GYN, plastics, ophthalmology, and general surgery.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing activities related to the care of patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.
- Provide care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
- Adhere to policies and procedures specific to operating room nursing.
- Work independently and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Interact tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- OR experience required.
- Current Arizona license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
