RN Operating Room

About the role

This position involves providing perioperative nursing care in an Ambulatory Surgical Center, focusing on procedures like Ophthalmology, Pain, and Podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields following infection control standards.
• Perform as scrub and/or circulator during surgeries, anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of the operating environment to support patient safety and efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree in nursing mandatory; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least one year of recent operating room experience; Interventional Radiology experience considered.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Strong understanding of RN roles, workload prioritization, patient age-specific care, and effective communication skills.
