About the role

The role involves providing perioperative nursing care in an ambulatory surgical center, focusing on procedures such as ophthalmology, pain management, and podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Preparing operating rooms
• Ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assisting with sterile field setup
• Functioning as a scrub and/or circulator during surgeries
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and supporting efficient procedure flow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-year or associate degree in nursing
• Valid RN license
• At least one year of recent OR experience (Interventional Radiology experience considered)

Skills

• Thorough understanding of RN roles
• Ability to organize workload
• Ability to modify care based on patient age
• Ability to interpret patient needs
• Proficient telephone screening

Preferred certifications

• ACLS
• PALS

Schedule

Full-time hours in a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday shifts.
