Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for oncology patients in alignment with clinical standards and treatment protocols.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer-related treatments safely and accurately while monitoring for side effects and patient tolerance.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, symptom management, and available supportive resources.
- Maintain precise documentation of assessments, interventions, treatment administration, and patient responses in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, clarify treatment orders, and support continuity of care.
- Monitor patients for clinical changes and respond quickly to urgent needs to promote safety and treatment effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current North Dakota Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS certification
- Experience in oncology nursing preferred
