Job Details

The posted compensation range of $33.15 - $59.45 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, coordinates, and maintains occupational health programs.
  • Serves as the System's expert resource in assuring knowledge and compliance with all governmental agency regulations dealing with safety and wellness in the workplace.
  • Maintains OSHA/BBP/Injury logs & exposures.
  • Advocates for the health and safety of all staff.
  • May be responsible for coordinating the W/C program and activities designed to prevent, assess and treat work-related injuries and hazardous exposures.
  • Facilitates case management of workers' comp claims, files First Report of Injury after reviewing/investigating incidents.
  • Reviews visit notes to coordinate back to work (work-related and non work-related)/light duty with managers and interacts with managers/HRD for associates who can't be released to work.
  • Directs the activity of the Occupational Health Technician as needed.
  • May involve travel or remote support for geographical team(s).

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing, required
  • Bachelor degree in nursing (BSN), preferred
  • One year of clinical RN experience required
  • Prior Occupational Health experience is preferred or working knowledge of Occupational Health to include blood borne pathogens; immunizations; communicable diseases, knowledge of workers' compensation procedures and regulations.
  • RN license to practice (in state of employment as applicable), required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), required
  • Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
