RN Occupational Health Coordinator

About the role

Coordinates employee health clinics and oversees the provision of health services. Addresses employee health concerns and provides support to ensure a healthy work environment. Collaborates with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized care plans for employees.

• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss employee health and safety.
• Provides training and education to staff on health and safety protocols and best practices.
• Develops and implements wellness programs to promote employee health and well-being.
• Conducts health screenings, vaccinations, and medical evaluations for employees.
• Provides health education and resources to employees on preventive care and workplace safety.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date health records for all employees, ensuring confidentiality and security of health information.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations through regular audits and inspections.
• Updates policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards and address any health and safety violations promptly.
• Manages occupational health services, including medical illness/injury triage, basic first aid, mask fit testing, and drug screens.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to review programs and identify appropriate employee health management initiatives
• Ability to monitor effectiveness measures for employee health programs in order to improve employee health and wellbeing
• Ability to review employee work and progress and prepare written reports
• Ability to analyze and assess employee health data, techniques, methodology, equipment operations, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of CDC guidelines, OHSA, state guidelines, and other regulatory bodies
• Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practices
• Knowledge of AOHP guidelines, standard of care (Preferred)

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's (Preferred)
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing in a related field
• Two years of technical experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) (Preferred)
