About the Role
Provide expert, family-centered care for newborns in a hospital nursery.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed newborn assessments and monitor for complications.
- Administer medications and treatments as needed.
- Assist with deliveries and immediate post-birth care.
- Educate and support parents on newborn care and breastfeeding.
- Document thoroughly in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and lactation consultants.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Experience or knowledge in neonatal or nursery care preferred.
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Family-centered approach and excellent communication skills.
