RN Nurse Shift Manager
Job Summary
You'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift.
- Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level.
- Affords assessments, monitoring, and education to the nursing staff on patient care.
- Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
- Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
- Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.
Requirements
- Required Associates of Science Nursing and Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, upon hire
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Fire Safety, within 90 Days
