RN Nurse Manager - OR

About the role

Responsible for developing, administering, and implementing nursing and patient care activities within their area of accountability. Collaborates with the nursing team to support organizational initiatives, standardize systems, improve efficiencies, and oversee financial aspects of nursing programs and services. Focuses on integrating performance improvement strategies, enhancing communication, and fostering patient, physician, and staff satisfaction. Works with various hospital departments to operationalize nursing integration, service line development, and standardized nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and improvement of care delivery models to enhance patient, family, employee, and provider satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with nursing practice acts and professional standards, upholding nurses' rights.
• Promotes transparency, collaboration, and accountability across teams.
• Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and service delivery.
• Optimizes resource allocation to meet current and future objectives.
• Manages a multidisciplinary team providing competent, efficient, and compassionate care in a professional environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare trends, legal compliance, managed care, and nursing operations.
• Ability to foster collaborative partnerships and develop service programs.
• RN licensure required; specialty certification preferred.
