RN Nurse Manager
North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope, MN is seeking a full-time Nurse Manager Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Transitional Care (TCU) team. We are a premier training facility offering opportunities to advance your nursing career within a 320-bed facility that includes Long-Term Care (LTC), Transitional Care (TCU), Memory Care, and an on-site Dialysis Den with an On-Site Child Daycare Center for children aged 6 weeks to preschool.
About the role
This rehabilitation nursing position offers a competitive salary of up to $106,000 per year (based on years of experience) and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. As a Nurse Manager, you will oversee resident care, ensure adherence to care plans, and lead the nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff. You will also handle admissions, discharges, and detailed documentation while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' conditions and administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Ensure compliance with narcotic policies and procedures, monitor for side effects, and report changes in residents' conditions.
- Oversee nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed.
- Complete accurate documentation, including admissions and discharges.
- Report any signs of bruises, skin tears, or neglect.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements and facility policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Desire to work with the elderly.
- Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, dependability, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset.
Skills
- IV therapies, TPN, tracheostomy care, and kidney care (including in-house hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis).
- Complex wound care, including wound vacs, post-surgical care, and diabetic care.
