RN Nurse Manager

About the role

Develops, manages, and implements nursing and patient care activities within designated areas, collaborating with the nursing team to support organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Standardizing systems, identifying efficiencies, overseeing finances for nursing programs, and integrating performance improvement strategies
• Supporting strategic nursing initiatives, communication plans, and fostering satisfaction among patients, physicians, and staff
• Working with hospital departments to operationalize nursing integration, service line development, and standardized practices
• Contributing to care delivery model development, ensuring continuous improvement and satisfaction for patients, staff, and providers
• Ensuring compliance with nurse practice acts, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
• Promoting transparency, collaboration, and accountability across teams
• Enhancing nursing practice quality, service administration, and service delivery effectiveness
• Optimizing resource allocation to meet current and future objectives
• Leading a multidisciplinary team providing competent, efficient, and compassionate care in a professional environment
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare issues, legal compliance, managed care, and nursing operations
• RN licensure required; BLS certification within 14 days of hire preferred
• Specialty certification and additional training are desirable
