Position Summary

The RN Nurse Manager provides operational and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this role oversees daily operations, develops high-performing teams, and partners closely with physicians and interdisciplinary stakeholders to deliver coordinated, value-based care.

What You'll Do

  • Leadership & Team Development
    Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
    Coordinate staffing schedules and assignments to support quality patient care.
    Foster a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and accountability.
    Provide coaching, education, and development opportunities for team members.

  • Patient Care Coordination
    Ensure efficient patient flow and timely access to care.
    Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
    Address patient concerns and support an exceptional care experience.
    Promote proactive, coordinated approaches that improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.

  • Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
    Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
    Conduct clinical documentation audits and implement best practices.
    Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on safety, outcomes, and operational excellence.
    Support value-based care strategies that enhance quality while improving efficiency.

  • Operational & Financial Management
    Oversee documentation, billing support, and departmental workflows.
    Maintain inventory and ensure availability of clinical supplies and equipment.
    Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
    Monitor expenditures and support financial planning activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience in a multispecialty environment.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
  • Seven (7)+ years of progressive clinical experience.
  • Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).
