Assistant Nurse Manager - Ambulatory Surgery

Position Responsibilities

• Affords support to the Nurse Director / Manager in overseeing clinical and business operations.
• Coaches and counsels employees to uphold high performance standards and contributes to their performance evaluations.
• Delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff qualifications.
• Maintains daily operations, including managing bed flow, conducting patient rounds, collaborating with other departments, performing chart checks, and providing clinical support.
• Models behaviors to enhance customer satisfaction and promotes fiscal responsibility.
• Maintains quality metrics and facilitates performance improvement activities by reviewing charts and coaching staff.

Position Qualifications

• Required: 2 years recent clinical/cath lab experience.
• Broad knowledge of nursing practice and ability to apply specific skills in nursing intervention.
• Competency in management and leadership skills.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred in related fields.
• Required Certifications/Licenses: Current NJ RN license, BLS, and appropriate certifications as required by specialty or regulatory agency.
