About the role
As a Clinical Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, you'll be a vital member of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited school of nursing (or non-accredited school with at least one year of acute care experience or greater than 2 years of experience in a licensed health care role, such as LPN or EMT, and successful NCLEX licensure).
- Bachelor's Degree (BSN, MSN, or DNP) required. If not BSN-prepared at hire, new graduates or nurses with less than one year of experience must enroll in an accredited BSN program within one year of licensure and complete it within five years (effective April 18, 2023).
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA, ARC, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation upon hire.
- Specialty certification required within 2 years (specific type not specified).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA required:
- Within 180 days for Critical Care, Emergency Care, Pre-Op and PACU, Radiology.
- Upon hire for Endoscopy (exceptions: Dearborn, Farmington Hills, Taylor).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification from ENA required within 1 year for Emergency Care.
- NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS) required within 90 days for Neuro ICU.
