About the Role
As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote optimal patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. This role requires personal accountability for relationship-based care and alignment with our organizational mission.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.
- Evaluate patient’s response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement a patient plan of care, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate competency in therapeutic/diagnostic interventions, including IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
- Maintain thorough and confidential patient charts and records, documenting ongoing status, interventions, patient response, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
- Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
- Provide patient/family education by assessing learning readiness, needs, and ability, delivering teaching, and evaluating its effectiveness.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (or by endorsement).
- Active and unencumbered RN License in the state of employment.
- Physical ability to perform medium work: exert/lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly.
- One year of recent Med/Surg RN hospital experience.
- BLS certification from the AHA.
- ACLS certification from the AHA (required or within 6 months of hire).
- ENPC or PALS certification (required or within 6 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification (required or within 6 months of hire).
- NRP certification (required or within 6 months of hire).
- TNCC certification (required or within one year of hire).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- CEN certification.
- Two years of recent RN Med/Surg hospital experience.

The Emergency Department at St. Anthony Hospital, a Magnet® designated facility, is a verified American College of Surgeons’ Level I Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and cardiac receiving center. $33.15 - $59.67 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time (0.9 FTE), night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
