Part time, 0.8 FTE, Evening Shift position (8 hour shifts). Additional Evening Shift differential: $4.00/hour.

What you will do in this nursing role
- Deliver and evaluate individualized patient care
- Accurately document care in the electronic health record
- Coordinate and delegate care across the clinical team
- Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing learning and development

- Contribute to departmental goals, initiatives, and process improvements
Qualifications
Education: Degree from an accredited School of Nursing Required
Experience: Minimum one year RN experience required in an acute care facility or (For RN Residents) successful completion of a training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
Credentials:
- Required: State of Oregon nursing license
- Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
- Required within 6 months: NIHSS

- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs (Required)

Department / Location Specific Notes
Medical/Surgical- Observation Unit & Neurology: National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) required within 6 months.
Working Conditions
- Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH)
- Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures
- Push/Pull: Frequently up to 45 lbs. force (i.e., WOW, medical carts)
- Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) — Frequency should be seldom or occasionally
- Ability to move around area with frequent sitting
- Bending/stopping/squatting/reaching/kneeling frequently
- Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles
- Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment
Mental/Visual
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted)
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
