About the role

Join the Neuro ICU at Baylor University Medical Center, a fast‑paced unit caring for high‑acuity patients including non‑trauma neurosurgical cases, strokes, specialized spine procedures, neurovascular surgeries, and seizure management. The unit maintains a 1:2 patient‑to‑nurse ratio, has 15 beds, is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke facility, and features a unit‑based practice council, on‑site nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, and educators. Leadership emphasizes an “all‑hands‑on‑deck” approach to support learning, mentoring, and team development.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)

Qualifications

• Two years of acute‑care experience (required for eligibility for the $5,000 sign‑on bonus)
