The Neuro ICU is a fast‑paced, 15‑bed unit that cares for high‑acuity non‑trauma neurosurgical patients, strokes, specialized spine cases, neurovascular surgeries, and seizures, maintaining a 1:2 patient‑to‑nurse ratio. The unit features a certified comprehensive stroke program, on‑site nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, educators, and a unit‑based practice council. Responsibilities
- Provide direct care for high‑acuity neuro patients, including non‑trauma neurosurgical cases, strokes, specialized spine procedures, neurovascular surgeries, and seizure management.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 in the 15‑bed Neuro ICU.
- Engage in a fast‑paced environment that promotes learning, mentoring, and collaborative team practice.
- Participate in unit‑based practice council activities and work alongside on‑site nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, and educators.
- Contribute to shared governance, evidence‑based practice, and nursing innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license.
- Minimum 1 year ICU experience
