RN - Mother Baby / Nights

About the Role

We are a high-paced, high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics, Mother Baby, Well Newborn Care, and Post Women’s Surgical care. Our unit includes:

• 40 Mother-Baby rooms
• 15 Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) rooms
• 14 High-Risk Antepartum rooms
• 8-bed OB Emergency Department (OBED)
• 4 Low-Intervention Birth Center (LIBC) Birthing Suites
• 4 Pre/Post rooms
• 3 Operating Room suites (where we circulate all of our own cases)

We also have full-time Lactation Consultants who see both inpatients and outpatients. Mercy OKC is the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and the second leading in the Ministry. Our teams offer a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family's Women's Center.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Physical ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
• Other unit-specific certifications as required or acquisition within the department’s required timeframe
