RN - Mother Baby / Nights

About the role

This position involves providing nursing care in a high-energy Obstetrics and Mother Baby unit, including Well Newborn Care and Post Women’s Surgical care. The unit features various specialized rooms such as LDR, High Risk Antepartum, OBED, Birthing Suites, and OR suites, supported by full-time Lactation Consultants.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care, circulate cases in the OR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes. The role requires physical stamina to lift, stand, walk, and perform various movements essential for patient care.

Qualifications

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold a current RN license, and meet state requirements. Certifications include NRP and BLS (or within 30 days of hire), with additional unit-specific certifications as needed.

Skills

Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and performing manual tasks like reaching, bending, and kneeling. Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
