RN Mom Baby Nights Part Time

About the role

Timpanogos Regional Hospital provides a supportive environment for Registered Nurses in the Mother Baby Unit, focusing on postpartum and newborn care. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, responding to changes in condition, and collaborating with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care plans through assessment and planning
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment responses
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient conditions, including fetal monitoring and diagnostic study results
• Perform nursing duties across the continuum of maternal-child health care
• Assist physicians with procedures in Postpartum care and the Newborn Nursery
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and activities for the department
• Achieve a composed and professional demeanor, especially under pressure

Qualifications

• Current State of Utah or Compact Registered Nurse License
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification – must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Must obtain NRP certification within 90 days from date of hire and maintain certification
• One or more years of recent Postpartum/Newborn Nursery experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
