Registered Nurse - Mother Baby/OB - Part Time Nights

About the role

The Registered Nurse works in various units including NICU-Stepdown, Mother Baby, and Labor & Delivery. Holidays rotation is on Nightshift at Mother Baby Unit.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to implement the nursing care process.
• Assesses patients to identify problems and develop a plan of care.
• Plans care to achieve desired outcomes and documents interventions and evaluations.
• Performs limited laboratory services such as specimen collection, processing, and reporting test results.
• Supports performance improvement initiatives and provides leadership to the patient care team.
• Participates in educational activities to maintain professional and personal growth.

Requirements

• Holds a current New Jersey RN license or equivalent multi-state license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License for certain positions.
• Emergency Room experience preferred, with ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Specialty experience and advanced certifications required for specific roles.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Experience: 2 years medical/surgical and/or emergency room experience preferred; ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Specialty Experience: Required for specific roles such as Trauma Bay, ICU, CVU, Heart and Vascular Unit, PCU, Pines/3 Central, 2South/2 Meadow, 5Harmony, 7Harmony, 4Michigan, 2West/2Pines, 6Harmony, Med Surg/Cardiac/Stroke Care, PAT, Operating Room, PACU/Same Day Surgery/Recovery Room, Intervention Radiology, Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), Endoscopy, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology Infusion Services, Structural Heart.
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATCN, CCRN, CGRN, CNOR, OCN, ONS, depending on role.
