About the role
Provides proficient, direct patient care in a 24/7 Acute Care (MedSurg) environment, utilizing the nursing process to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans
- Monitors and communicates patient conditions
- Collaborates across disciplines for care coordination
- Educates patients and families
- Delegates care to ancillary staff
- May precept students and new hires
- Delivers safe, quality care with critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Works independently in a fast-paced, night shift role with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN licensure
- At least 6 months of RN experience
- BLS certification
- Valid BLS/CPR certification and relevant life support certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
