About the role

This position is for a Registered Nurse providing high-quality patient care within a collaborative healthcare team. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, serving as a key communicator between patients, families, and care providers. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, delivering safe care according to policies, and maintaining thorough documentation. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, satisfaction, and participation in performance improvement initiatives to enhance care outcomes and organizational performance. The nurse fosters professional growth through mentorship, maintains licensure, and adheres to safety and confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

• Patient care and care coordination: Assessing, planning, and prioritizing patient needs, ensuring effective and safe delivery of care.
• Patient advocacy and satisfaction: Listening to concerns, educating patients and families, and promoting family-centered care.
• Performance improvement: Contributing ideas for process enhancements and supporting quality initiatives.
• Professional development: Maintaining licenses/certifications, engaging in training, and participating in professional organizations.
• Leadership: Mentoring colleagues, promoting a positive work environment, and upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelors preferred).
• Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• 1-2 years of Med Surg experience highly preferred.
