Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of patients within the facility.
• Promote continuity of care for patients on the unit, providing direct patient care and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Aides, and other support staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and assess data reflecting each patient’s status.
• Interpret information to identify age‑specific patient requirements.
• Provide care in accordance with department/unit policies and procedures.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• Uphold the values expressed in the Hospital and Nursing Department mission and philosophy statements.
• Support and promote a positive image of professional nursing and OMC.
• Respond to emergency or crisis situations and perform emergency care as needed.
• Adapt to irregular hours and unpredictable situations as required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• Two years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Current Washington State RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PALS certification required within one year of hire.

Pay

Pay Range: $40.37 – $72.25 per hour.

• Shift Differentials/Premiums:
  • Evening – $3.00/hour
  • Night – $5.00/hour
  • Weekend – $4.50/hour
  • Standby – $4.00/hour
  • Charge – $3.25/hour
  • Float – $2.50/hour
  • Per Diem – 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
  • Certification – $2.00/hour
  • Preceptor – $2.00/hour
  • San Exam – $500.00

Schedule

FTE: 90% – Work Shift: Days.

On‑Call Shifts: Yes.

Weekend & Holiday Shifts: Yes.
