About the role
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care during hospitalization, assessing, managing, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams using a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough assessments, documentation, and reassessments tailored to patient age and condition.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessment data, diagnosis, and protocols.
- Provide and document nursing interventions, administer medications, manage IV fluids, and coordinate referrals and discharge planning.
- Recognize patient condition changes, communicate effectively, and involve families in care decisions.
- Deliver specialized care such as restraint management, pain control, and abuse assessment, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Maintain adherence to infection control, safety policies, and professional standards, including mandatory training and certifications.
- Exhibit professionalism, foster team collaboration, and provide education to patients and families.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and research activities.
- Provide age-appropriate care, ensure cost-effective resource utilization, and maintain a safe, respectful environment.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the relevant state.
- Current BLS certification.
- Adherence to safety, infection control, and professional standards.
