About the Role

Full-time Registered Nurse position scheduled for 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, including weekend rotation and holiday commitment. This role is on the 5E Medical-Surgical unit, a 29-bed telemetry-capable unit providing care for patients with conditions such as hypertension, chest pain, electrolyte imbalances, acute kidney injury (AKI), COPD, and more.

The Registered Nurse is accountable for managing patient care during a designated timeframe, coordinating and evaluating care, teaching, and delegating patient activities to other healthcare team members through the nursing process and therapeutic use of self.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient care during assigned shifts.
  • Coordinate and evaluate patient care activities.
  • Teach and delegate tasks to healthcare team members.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Previous medical-surgical experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency and excellent customer service skills.
