RN - Med Surg Tele - 2 East (36/D/E)

About the role
2 East is a 49-bed general medical/surgical telemetry unit that provides care to adult and geriatric patients. The staff cares for patients with a wide variety of acute conditions and patients with multiple comorbidities. Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following their displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1). As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN License
- Evidence of Continuing Education
- Prior experience working as an RN required; Med Surg experience preferred
- Current Telemetry experience or able to pass Telemetry Competency Exam within 90 days of beginning position
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Utilizes appropriate time management skills
- Communicates effectively
Qualifications (Recommended)
- Documented Professional Development activities
- Knowledge of Critical Paths
- Charge Nurse experience preferred
- BSN Preferred
- AHA ACLS Preferred
Pay
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time: $37.14 - $82.22. The pay range is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
