RN - Med/Surg T6 (Inpatient)

Responsibilities

• Performing all unit-specific duties and implementing procedures aligned with practice standards.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of nursing care for effective team communication.
• Conducting initial patient assessments and developing personalized care plans based on patient and family needs.
• Implementing, evaluating, and modifying care plans and nursing interventions as necessary.
• Ensuring patient and staff safety by reporting hazards and incidents.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues, providing constructive feedback, and supporting professional development.
• Assessing IV sites regularly and initiating IVs per policy.
• Maintaining documentation standards and participating in staff meetings.
• Recognizing changes in patient status and responding appropriately.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Ability to adhere to departmental competencies and safety protocols.
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
