Job Summary
Join Brigham City Community Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, as a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg PRN. This role requires delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with medical providers and the care team.
Qualifications
- Current State of Utah or Registered Nurse License
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification
- Associates Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice
What You Will Do
- Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record
- - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology
