About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical Orthopedics, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn—whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and reliable RN to provide care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering adults in our patient-centered care model. In this role, you will make clinical assessments and manage treatment autonomously as part of a phenomenal, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
  • Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
  • Analyze assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
  • Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
  • Act as an advocate for patient safety
  • Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
  • Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay

Requirements

  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required (compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation)
  • BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred
  • 1 year of RN experience in an Acute Care environment preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
