Job summary and qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

In our Unit: We have a very tenured and caring team open to training nurses transitioning to hospital setting. We have separate med/surg and ortho/spine unit, but you may have the ability to learn both if you choose. We work with all areas of the hospital from ER and Surgery to ICU. We strive for lower patient ratios and have dedicated float pool and PCT team to assist in patient care. We have close connections with our team and community and serve with compassion and kindness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Provide care for the patient in collaboration with the patient/family, with regard to developmental, cultural and age specific differences, develops and implements patient care plans to include problems, goals, evaluations and interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient's clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies.
  • Perform nursing duties as needed in the continuum of care for all patients.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department.
  • Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.

Requirements

  • Current State of Idaho or Compact Registered Nurse License.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required. BSN is preferred.
  • Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice.
  • Experience requirements are specific to positions and departments as appropriate.

Pay

Hourly Wage Estimate: $34.91 - $52.37 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical wage range of candidates hired.
