RN - Med/Surg Nights

Job Summary Provides direct and indirect patient care in various care settings, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to support patient health, autonomy, dignity, and rights. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, adapting care to individual needs. Communicates effectively with multidisciplinary teams, assists with procedures, and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families. Promotes safety, cost-effective practices, and lifelong learning. Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.Administer prescribed medications and provide appropriate care by age and condition.Develop and evaluate patient education plans, involving families as needed.Perform treatments, assist physicians, and utilize technical skills.Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge care with social services.Practice cost-efficient resource management and prioritize patient safety.Commit to ongoing professional development. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program.RN licensure and BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.Computer literacy is necessary.
