About the role
Seeking a registered nurse for a Med Surg - Neuro role, providing direct patient care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Applying standards of medical-surgical nursing to enhance patient care and quality of life.
- Establishing effective relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans.
- Utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Considering physical, cultural, social, economic, spiritual, and developmental factors affecting health responses.
- Collaborating with team members and advocating for patients to ensure holistic, ethical, and culturally sensitive care.
- Educating patients and families on health maintenance, comfort, and recovery measures.
- Mentoring colleagues, applying evidence-based practices, and maintaining a safe, alert work environment.
- Performing point-of-care testing and other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- At least one year of RN experience.
- Valid RN license and BLS certification for the applicable state.
- Physical requirements: constant communication, standing, walking, frequent lifting (0-25 lbs), sitting, reaching, vision, hearing, and occasional patient lifting and movement.
