RN - Neuro Med/Surg

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.
• Develop individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Implement interventions to achieve desired outcomes and document progress consistently.
• Evaluate patient responses, modify care plans as needed, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Utilize equipment knowledge, troubleshoot issues, and perform bedside lab testing following protocols.
• Cook up interdisciplinary care, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively for optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families with culturally appropriate teaching strategies, ensuring safety and understanding.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives by data collection, analysis, and implementing process enhancements.
• Advocate for patients, collaborate with team members, and promote a positive care environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), valid in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to professional development and adherence to safety protocols.
