About the Role
The Nurse Manager creates a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment by supervising nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality care, and fostering a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily unit activities, ensuring optimal patient care and staff performance.
- Recruit, retain, evaluate, and coach staff, promoting professional development and accountability.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and revise care plans.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, safety, regulatory compliance, and patient/family satisfaction through audits and data analysis.
- Manage staffing needs, schedules, and overtime to maintain appropriate coverage and throughput.
- Address operational issues, investigate patient care concerns, and facilitate team and family communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience; 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to supervise, evaluate, and develop staff effectively.
