Job Summary

The Nurse Manager serves as a role model, clinically and administratively, clinical consultant for Nursing and ancillary staff. The Nurse Manager is responsible for clinical and administrative decisions in the division in collaboration with or in the absence of the Director. Manages personnel in the accomplishment of designated goals and the provision of nursing care and services. Manages the provision of adequate and competent staffing. Manages the daily schedule efficiently to ensure all decisions, actions and team performance meets the needs of key customers and stakeholders. Evaluates effectiveness of care in producing desired patient outcomes. Addresses any issues that affect the desired patient outcomes Ensures that age and culturally appropriate care is given.

Qualifications

• One Year Of Recent Medical/Surgical Experience Preferred.
• BSN required, Master Degree in a related field or actively pursuing advanced degree is preferred.
• Certification in area of specialty or nursing leadership is required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the commonwealth of Virginia or compact state license.
• BLS required.
