Dayshift, Monday - Friday, on call duties required

Qualifications

• Full Time position as a Wound Care Nurse
• Must be an RN or LPN
• Preferred Wound Care certification

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients with wounds, colostomies and injuries
• Ensure optimum patient care delivery in wound care nursing procedures
• Provide education to prevent pressure ulcers and infections
• Coordinate care with other health professionals

• Leadership and communication skills

• Integrate current standards of practice as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to nursing services
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with patients and families regarding the status of a patient's wound
• Fulfill all Wound Care nurse duties as described in the full job description
• Fulfill unit manager duties and additional duties assigned by DON
