Responsibilities

  • Assist the Back Office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
  • Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instruction
  • Assist providers in casting, bracing, and injections
  • Provide quality customer service
  • Perform tests and procedures as ordered
  • Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
  • Relay provider instructions to patients
  • Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking rooms, filing, mailing, etc.)
  • Work Pediatric triage "buckets" for all Pediatric providers and Pediatric prior authorizations
  • Administer Pediatric immunizations
  • Update newborn screening cards
  • Assist Front Office staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Current RN or LPN license from the Idaho Board of Nursing
  • Venipuncture skills
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
  • Previous experience with pediatric catheters preferred
  • Previous experience with pediatric immunizations preferred
  • Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job

Recommended vaccines to include annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB. While not mandatory, we strongly recommend that new hires stay current on vaccinations and request that proof of immunization be provided or scheduled within two weeks of the start date.
