RN LPN or Certified Medical Assistant-Central Region Float
Horizon Health in the Central Region, SD is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Certified Medical Assistant to provide nursing care to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Candidates must have a valid SD Nursing License. Medical Assistants must be certified through an accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for patients through the entire visit, including rooming patients, taking vitals, collecting medical history, updating medications, and documenting clinical information in the EHR.
- Prepare patients for provider visits, schedule follow-up care, and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
- Provide patient education on health management, referral coordination, preventative and specialty care, and development of care plans, including self-management goals.
- Perform nursing skills within scope of license, such as administering injections, vaccinations, labs, x-rays, and other tests as ordered by the provider (on-the-job training provided for labs and x-rays).
