RN / LPN - Charge Nurse

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Oregon state regulations.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely.
  • Monitor and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Provide a positive, safe and therapeutic environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of Oregon
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation abilities.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Successfully complete ORCHARDS background screening.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a long-term care facility.
  • IV certification or demonstrated experience in advanced clinical procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations governing patient care.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking for extended periods during the shift.
  • The ability to safely lift and transfer up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Requires physical stamina to handle emergencies, moving equipment, and performing other medical tasks.
  • Ability to use full range of motion in body movements including bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping and crouching, reaching over shoulder.
  • Pushing and pulling carts and wheelchairs up to 200 lbs.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.
